Putin as master manipulator

Trump was right; Putin is a genius

An evil genius, no doubt, and almost certainly a war criminal. But he is hardly the madman media is making him out to be – even though he is waging what Civil War Union General Sherman might have called “total war” against innocent civilians.

Sherman’s theory which he carried out to bring down the South and later to defeat some of the most powerful native American tribes (through his acolyte, Sheridan) was to undermine the ability of the enemy to fight by destroying the base – food supply and those folks back home – that support them.

Sheridan’s belief was that if you make it hell for all the people involved, the sooner they will capitulate.

Simplistic fools, however, need to paint this conflict as simply one of good and evil, and so award the president of Ukraine sainthood, and by default, Putin is seen as in league with the devil.

These are the same people who rally around BLM and Antifa when those groups burn down cities and shoot at cops, or more recently, the people who crucified the unvaccinated.

Good and Bad. No gray area with these people. They are suckers for public relations, and spin, and so hold rallies in support of Ukraine completely ignorant of the county’s history or its checkered relationship with Russia. Because The Washington Post and The New York Times (which finds white supremacists or neo-Nazi under every bush in American) tell them there are not Nazi’s in Ukraine, they – as gullible as guppies – believe them, when in fact there are.

The war in Ukraine is largely about public opinion and how to manipulate people at a distance as much as it is about tanks rolling over cities.

Ukrainian officials -- especially its president --are particularly good at setting the stage for political theater.

As was the case with the nuclear plant where they sent in insurgents who fired on the Russians and then the Russians fired back just in time for a video to be broadcast worldwide about how the Russians were attacking the nuclear plant, when it was staged to make it look that way. The Russians claim that the Ukrainians are doing the same thing when it comes to civilian area, setting up in between residential buildings, firing on the Russians to get the Russians to fire back, and they publicize that attack when the Russians do.

Yet as good as the Ukrainians at manipulation, Putin is better.

The Washington Post New York Times keep saying how the Ukrainians are winning the social media war and they are. Yet is Putin that is pulling the strings when it comes to manipulating leaders in the west who decided what kind of help to bring to Ukraine.

Ukraine cannot win the war against Russia without the help of NATO and the United States.

But Putin has pulled off a Ronald Reagan in that he has manufactured the belief in the minds of the leadership elsewhere, but he is unhinged and libel to do anything – including push this war into a nuclear world war III.

This is the reason why Biden and other Western leaders will not give air cover to the Ukrainians in their war against the Russians

Putin has so gotten into their heads that the Western leaders believe that to provide any assistance that has Western Fighters going into Ukraine will drag us into World War 3

The Ukrainians are very clever in creating narratives that make it appear as if Putin is being ruthless. But this only feeds into the western leader paranoia about Putin and how far he will go.

The faked attack on the nuclear plant was brilliant but misconceived; the idea was to blame the Russians for shooting at the nuclear plant in creating another Chernobyl.

This was supposed to scare the west into committing itself to the war by creating a no-fly zone or at least sending in more planes.

It takes a closer look to notice the attack wasn’t on the reactors at all, but the video footage managed to send a panic worldwide.

The Washington Post and The New York Times didn’t fall for it at first. It took them a few days to catch onto the narrative the Ukrainians were trying to sell, by which time western media was spinning the same “crazy Putin shooting at reactor” silliness, who would blow up the world.

Even if you assume Putin is crazy, all of his soldiers aren’t. And they aren’t going to shoot at something that is going to destroy them as well as their enemies.

Ukrainians had wanted to show the West how endanger the other European countries are and in to drag them into the war willingly or not to keep the Russians from creating a nuclear disaster.

It didn't work NATO still refused to provide air cover perhaps seeing through the ruse.

NATO is well-aware that this conflict did not start on Feb. 28 when the Russians crossed the border into Ukraine, but in 2014 when the Ukrainians overthrew the Russian puppet that had ruled them prior to that. Since then, a quiet war had been on going with more than 30,000 people killed as Ukrainians attempted to suppress the Russian-speaking people along the border with Russia – a ruthless war of murder and torture on both sides that ultimately led to the invasion by Russia.

The murders of Russian-speaking Ukrainians haven’t stopped. One was dragged out of his house and murder in the public square in one town. Another, living in Great Britain was also found murdered. The peace-loving Ukrainians also murdered one of their own peace negotiators claiming he was a Russian spy.

The Ukrainians are bombarding media with PR and winning the hearts of the population, even although it is mostly spin, and that the war is really more a blood feud between two closely related families, something like the Hatfields and the McCoys.

All of the kumbaya people who typically rally are waving the Ukrainian flag without an inkling of knowledge about what led up to the conflict, the same people screaming Black Lives Matter here, while ignoring the intense racism there.

This not to say Putin is right. Invading another country, even to get rid of secret CIA installations, and packs of Neo Nazis is wrong because it hurts innocent people rather than just the bad guys. If Biden, Kerry and other powerful American leaders have business dealings in Ukraine, then take up the squabble with them.

And while the whole liberal world (as well as many conservatives) has made Putin out to be Satan, this only works to Putin’s advantage because in the minds of people like Biden, there is the “what if” thought. Will Putin push the button that will bring down civilization?
This is the reason NATO leaders won’t give the Ukrainians what they want. This is what keeps Biden up at night? Wondering.
